Job Opening Summary Performs simple and complex analysis on tissue, blood and body fluids using laboratory instrumentation, manual methods and procedures.
Approves the performance of tests by technicians.
Assumes accountability for patient tests by providing a high standard of quality using independent judgment in the performance of standard operating procedures and complex instrumentation in varying sample environments.
Job Opening Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor Degree and one year as a Medical Laboratory Technician; or, 90 semester hours of science and completion of an AHCA approved training program; or, Associate Degree and appropriate combination of training and experience.

A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Must possess either a temporary or current license as a State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the specialty(s) required for the job.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
